Hong Kong, 23 January 2017 - Hutchison Global Communications Limited (HGC), the fixed-line arm of Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited (stock code: 215), today announced a peering agreement that brings together the HGC Hutch-IPX and China Unicom Global IPX (CUG IPX) networks.
Tie-ups with mainland China players facilitate greater mobile reach
HGC Hutch-IPX will interconnect with CUG IPX - owned by China Unicom Global Limited (CUG) - thereby enabling HGC's service provider and mobile network operator (MNO) customers to extend services to CUG's 260-plus million mobile users. The move enables Hutch-IPX to reach an even greater population of mobile users when added to existing IPX interconnections with operators in mainland China. Similarly, CUG IPX's global coverage potential could be extended by virtue of Hutch-IPX's extensive reach and that
of CK Hutchison's mobile affiliates.
MNOs and carriers served by both parties will be able to extend coverage to provide multinational and consumer customers with high-quality integrated services including 3G and 4G data roaming, mobile signalling and Voice-over-IPX. Advanced IP services such as Voice-over-LTE, HD video calling and conferencing will go live in the near future. The result is that end customers will enjoy seamless data roaming and a top-notch voice experience.

Hutch-IPX platform offers one-stop IPX solutions
