Macau, 30 March 2016 - Hutchison Telephone (Macau) Company Limited (3Macau), the Macau mobile telecommunications division of Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited (stock code: 215), today (30 March) announced that its 4G LTE network now covers more than 95% of outdoor areas throughout Macau. More good news is that the data entitlement element of 3Macau's monthly 4G plans will be increased dramatically, with the aim of encouraging greater numbers of customers to become 4G subscribers. 3Macau has also unveiled the new "3G Macau - Hong Kong Unlimited Data Plan", enabling customers to enjoy unlimited roaming data usage while in Hong Kong. What's more, 3Macau's data roaming service has been extended to cover tourism hotspots in a total of 25 countries - more locations than any other local operator.

Addressing journalists at a special lunch event, 3Macau CEO Ho Wai-ming said: "We have been dedicated to enhancing the mobile communications experience we offer our customers. Market response to our 4G LTE service launch last December gives rise to optimism, and the number of 4G subscribers has increased. Today, our 4G network covers more than 95% of Macau's outdoor areas and will continue to be optimised. 3Macau is offering a variety of services to enable individual and corporate customers to enjoy a high-quality mobile communications experience. For example, the SME Flexible Combo Offer has been launched to meet the needs of corporate customers."

Free increase in data entitlement offered by monthly 4G plans benefits new and existing customers

Starting today, the data entitlement offered by 3Macau's monthly 4G plans will increase dramatically from 15% to approximately 60%. All existing and new customers are assured of a high-value data service.

"3G Macau - Hong Kong Unlimited Data Plan" unveiled and free "HK Wi-Fi" service extended to 30 days

The "3G Macau - Hong Kong Unlimited Data Plan" launches in Macau on 31 March 2016. In addition to consuming data in Macau, customers now benefit from unlimited roaming data in Hong Kong for free, granting far greater convenience to customers who travel between the two locations. 3Macau has also launched a variety of 3G promotions such as the "Friends & Family Referral Programme" plus additional offers for customers switching to 3Macau from other operators.

Meanwhile, 3 Macau's "HK Wi-Fi" service is proving a big hit among users, who are now able to enjoy smooth and stable wireless Internet access at more than 17,000 hotspots - served by HGC's 1Gbps optical-fibre backhaul - throughout Hong Kong. On 16 February, 3 Macau extended the validity of "HK Wi-Fi" promotions to 30 days, so all 3G and 4G users can enjoy 30 days' fast wireless online service for free. The promotion period runs until 30 June 2016.

"Roaming Data Daily Pass" now covers more locations than any other local operator
3Macau's data roaming service was extended to cover tourism hotspots in nine more countries - Portugal, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Spain, Greece, Belgium and Turkey - on 7 January 2016. Covering 25 destinations in total, the 3Macau "Roaming Data Daily Pass" was able to claim coverage of the greatest number of international destinations among all Macau telecoms operators¹. "SME Flexible Combo Offer" enables enterprises to exercise better cost control
Turning to the business community, 3 Macau introduced the "SME Flexible Combo Offer" in early March, providing enterprises with the flexibility to assemble their owns packages with various data usage and airtime components, according to needs. This will also help them improve cost control and sharpen market competitiveness.
