Starting today, customers subscribing to 3Macau’s 4G LTE tariff plans can use a high-speed 4G network covering more than 90% of Macau’s outdoor areas and delivering data service at speeds up to 112Mbps.

3Macau is committed to pursuing continuous improvement and service excellence at every opportunity, and announced plans to invest more than MOP$300 million in a new superfast network following award of a 4G mobile licence. Special tariff plans set to attract customers to a 4G experience

3Macau is offering a variety of tariff plans with prices starting from as little as MOP$98. Customers are also able to opt for an unlimited local data usage plan¹. Intra-network voice and SMS service is included in all plans. During the promotion period, customers subscribing to any 4G LTE monthly plan can enjoy an extra 15GB local data usage in the first month of a contract period - and be in the running to enter a lucky draw to win smartphones. 3Macau is keen to attract 3G users to the 4G LTE network, where they will enjoy a fresh and more exciting mobile communications experience.

Customers subscribing to a designated tariff plan can even get 300 minutes of Hong Kong roaming airtime, along with 1.5GB data roaming usage in Hong Kong, and IDD service between mainland China and Hong Kong. This will enable frequent travelers between Macau, Hong Kong and mainland China to stay in touch with family, friends and business associates.

4G network covers more than 90% of outdoor areas

3Macau's one-stop 4G LTE network service is based on ZTE's leading-edge 4G FDD-LTE wireless and core networks - and provides more than 90% outdoor coverage, embracing areas such as Porto Exterior, Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, Areia Preta and Taipa. This reach includes main business districts, along with large housing estates, shopping malls and hotels, as well as conference and exhibition centres. Customers can expect fast and stable speeds up to 112Mbps for downloading - and 37.5Mbps for uploading - on 15MHz paired spectrum.

Looking ahead, 3Macau plans to launch a VoLTE capability in the middle of next year, so customers can enjoy a seamless high-definition voice experience throughout 3Macau's 4G coverage.
