Hong Kong - 11 October 2016 - Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited (HTHKH or the Group; stock code: 215) has scooped well over 50 awards since the beginning of the year. Honours have been conferred on the Group by local and overseas organisations, government departments, newspapers and magazines. The Group also triumphed in the CAHK STAR Awards this month by winning gold, bronze and two silver accolades.
Innovative services earn Best International Carrier Award - Gold Award
Hutchison Global Communications Limited (HGC), HTHKH's fixed-line division, won the "Best International Carrier Award - Gold Award" in the CAHK STAR Awards. This was in recognition of a diverse portfolio of innovative one-stop solutions, business extensions to increasingly more geographies around the world and enriched combinations of service elements - all to the benefit of customers operating in ever-changing business environments. One such solution is HGC's Application and Content Provider (ACP) Solution designed for over-the-top (OTT) players. ACP offers data centre hosting and colocation, along with local and international network connectivity and IP transit, to help customer organisations extend business coverage all over the world.
Other offerings include a content exchange platform from Big Data Exchange (BDX) service. This provides traditional hosting and colocation, as well as services rarely provided by telecoms operators such as software and hardware configuration and OS tweaking. Granting flexibility to use services as and when needed enables customers to turn capex into more affordable opex.
Comprehensive fixed-line service plus cloud and data centre solutions recognised
The CAHK STAR Awards scheme rewarded the company's efforts with the Best Fixed Network Operator - Silver Award, Best Data Centre - Silver Award and Best Enterprise Service - Bronze Award.
HGC won the Best Fixed Network Operator - Silver Award for provision of innovative one-stop international carrier, corporate, data centre and home broadband services, while HGC Global Centre (HGCGC) won the Best Data Centre - Silver Award. HGCGC had already earned the Best Data Centre title for the second consecutive year. Two data centres run by HGCGC meet the TIA-942 tier-3 or higher standard and are accredited with ISO 27001 information security management certification. Lastly, HGC's premium bizCloud 2.0 cloud solution launched at the beginning of the year earned the Best Enterprise Service - Bronze Award. This solution enables corporations of all sizes to enjoy a telco-grade cloud service with an emphasis on safety and reliability. Customer organisations simply log into a self-service portal to manage cloud resources anytime, from anywhere, with the utmost flexibility.
